Description
Dr. Glen Carew and Tina had had so little time together…but for him there was so very much to remember.
Looking down at the tiny nurse with her dark troubled eyes, Dr. Carew could not help remembering Tina, the girl he had loved all those years ago in Manila. Then it was wartime and he'd been on leave. Fate had brought them together and fate, Tina had believed, would decide their future.
The nurse who stood before him now was different. She was pleading for Carew to persuade the young intern to stay at Calco County Hospital. She wanted Dr. Ward to stay with her now and always. She couldn't bear the uncertainty of his going off to war. And she wanted Glen Carew to intervene.
How could he? Dr. Glen Carew knew the sense of duty that impelled the young intern. But then…he also knew the searing pain of separation.
