I wanted Gabriella Manners from the moment she walked into my office, pushed back the hood of her raincoat, and shook out her long chocolate-brown hair.

In another world, I think I could have loved a woman like her, but the timing turns out to be all wrong. In a few weeks, we're both heading off in different directions, and it soon becomes clear that a one-night stand is about all we have time for.
