In a world of the living dead, life is a precious commodity. After retrieving the blood sample necessary to create a vaccine, Alissa and Chris arrive back on Warren Island to find the sanctuary has succumbed to a deader outbreak. Stranded in Maine with no means of rescue, Alissa must choose between getting the blood samples to those who can create a vaccine and save what is left of mankind or returning to the island to rescue her friends and the few remaining survivors.
