Book One of the Wayenor Saga. Years of chaos are coming to an end. Kallendia's Castles, the principality's main means of defense, are slowly being rid of the bandits and villains who overran them. Vannessa must lead them all through long marches, fierce battles, betrayals and blood-feuds. She will make bitter foes, but strengthen staunch friendships.
