Description
Set in 1803 in the rural England. Dr Alexander French, a victim of unrequited love, is about to embark for a new life in Bombay, but efore leaving he returns to Norfolk. He is diverted by the new inhabitants of Blackow Hall - eccentric old Clodie M'Cool, the beautiful Julia Hawksworth, and Julia's engaging young daughter, Cassandra.
This is the sequel to "A Season of Mists" and "The Peacock's Feather", which won the 1989 Romantic Novelists' Association Award.
