Description
Imagine a smart, wealthy New York City debutante banished by her own parents to a small town out West for circumstances largely beyond her control. What could possibly be more frustrating -- or more boring? Sally Palmer is a young, inquisitive, and intuitive aspiring journalist. Unfortunately for her, she is also rather outspoken -- a quality that sometimes gets her in trouble. Most recently, her frankness exposed a social scandal in New York City which upset her parents, causing them to send her to live with her aunt in Kansas. What could a small town in Kansas possibly hold for a journalist like Sally? As it turns out, intrigue, more scandals, and maybe even some romance. The more Sally learns about a few of the townspeople, the more committed she becomes to staying in Kansas -- to help some, to serve justice to others, and maybe even to marry one. Kansas is much more exciting than she anticipated!
