Description
The Hunter just became the Hunted
In less than two years, Erik Ashendale turned his city upside-down. He's fought -- and won -- against vampires, werewolves, ghouls, goblins, lizardmen, wurms, drakes, as well as angels and demons alike.
But he is only human.
While recovering from the trauma of his previous adventure, Erik finds himself chasing literal ghosts as he stumbles upon a plot involving a despotic Necromancer, a power-hungry business mogul, and an ancient grimoire called the Necronomicon, which can not only raise the undead, but also summon creatures from Beyond…
Can Erik and his rag tag team make it in time to once again save the world?
And why does he have the feeling that he's the one being hunted?
Interview with the Author
Q - What is the Legacy Series?A - The Legacy Series is an Urban Fantasy novel series about the paranormal adventures of Erik, with frequent appearances of his twin sister Gil, their demon familiars Amaymon and Mephisto, as well a host of other characters, each taken from folklore and mythology.
Throughout the novels Erik usually tries to solve a mystery (usually bloody and rife with magic), all the while stopping the rising of the Seven Deadly Sins from taking power, or some other magical being trying to do something terrible.
Q - Is there a particular order in which to read the books?A - The series is planned for 13 books but each novel has its own plot line that starts and finishes within that book. So a reader can grab book 2 and still follow onto book 3 and so on, even if they missed out of book 1.
Of course, each book does leave clues for the following stories, and even in this one, book 1, I planted seeds for stories yet to come.
So far the best way to read the Legacy series is as follows:
- Firstborn (Book 1)
- Birthright (Book 2)
- Short story collection (only available through my mailing list - see above for a link or a URL to get it for free)
- Lost Ones (Book 3)
Q - What makes this series so unique?A - It's a mixture of things actually. For one thing, it follows the wizard detective trope, so it can get a little hard boiled. But at the same time, I am unable to write without including some terrible jokes or one liners, so there will be a lot of humor within the dialogue. Also, the action. There is no shortage of magical sword fights, fireballs being thrown around, and I think in this one we break a ship - as in, one of those giant cruise liners.
The elements that make this series what it is range from mythology, folklore, an unhealthy amount of anime and manga (which explains some of the asian mythology elements) as well as a life time of being a geek.
Q - Where is the best place to get all the books in the series?A - Well, Amazon of course...
Actually, all my books are available in a variety of online bookstores, but the best way to find out about the current books AND new releases, is through my mailing list, which can be accessed by pasting this url on your browser:
