Description
Young Mariah Callahan knew Alex de Haven, the wealthy polo player, had not caused the troubles at the Callahan Horse Farm. She realized it was not his fault she and her brother were bankrupt. But secretly Mariah blamed Alex. She hated him because he was the one who had bought Don Othello, her favorite thoroughbred, the pride of the Callahan farm. Yet now that Alex wanted to enter a major polo competition, Don Othello would not cooperate. There was nothing physically wrong with the pony. He simply missed Mariah. So Alex hired the reluctant girl to keep the horse in line until the April polo games. That she could do. But there was no way she could keep her own feelings in line--for her hatred of Alex was changing into love. A love that could never be returned.
