The town of Harmony Creek is having another season of love. Verity Springer is what you might call an independent woman. Although she's as Amish as they come, she insists on being self-sufficient. And for good reason. After having had her heart broken once already, Verity finds it difficult to trust. Things change however, when the owner of Heaven's Treasures, the craft store where Verity works making wicker baskets to sell, decides that the store should expand. He brings in the kind and handsome Daniel Glick to begin the carpentry work, and Verity feels a spark she has not felt in a long time. When Daniel gets into an accident, things take a turn for the worse. And what's more, Verity's ex-boyfriend Jacob, the man who broke her heart, returns with an offer of platonic friendship. Now Verity must cope with the conflicted feelings she has toward Jacob, as well as the feelings she has for Daniel, whom she finds she cannot live without. Can she really learn to trust her heart with a man again?
