Description
It happened.....nuclear war.
In a cave in the hills outside Jonesboro, Illinois, three teenagers hid from the darkness and radiation of nuclear winter.
Then, one day, a brilliant white light filled the heavens. Was it a sign from God? Their salvation? Or had the terrorists who started the war found a way to finish off those who survived?
All they really knew was this: if they stayed, they would die from radiation. I was already consuming one of them.
It was better to chance death out there, heading into the unknown, than to stay in the cave and die slowly....
It was better to trust their future to a city of blinding light, than to empty shadows.
