Half-Life — Robert McKay

Darvin Carpenter is a private investigator in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has enough money to take only the cases he likes -- and one of the cases he likes is that of a missing husband. What he doesn't expect is that in finding the husband, he'll have to deal with deceit, treachery, a woman who falls apart under the strain, and a new friendship. There are pitfalls when you care, and Darvin finds it out all over again in this case.
