Description
He was so careful and clever that at first the cops had bodies but no reason to link the murders, nothing to indicate that they were the work of one man. That was at first. For detective First Grade Dennis McQueen, a man who had failed as a father and husband, being a cop was his pride, his success, his life. He was the primary investigator on one of the murders; it was happenstance that he was at the crime scene when another corpse was discovered. It was his instincts and skill that allowed him to start putting the pieces together. All he had to do was convince the brass of what was happening; unfortunately, it wasn't the kind of information the people on top wanted to hear.
