His first novel (The Third Miracle) was named one of the best debut novels of 1997 by Library Journal and he was hired by Francis Ford Coppola to co-write the screenplay adaptation. Vetere was nominated for Pushcart Prizes in fiction in 2013 and again in 2014. He has written numerous successful screenplays for movies and television.
