Description
In a senseless act of violence, Martin Billington, the twenty-year-old son of a wealthy businessman, fires a fatal shot at Ashley, a law student, as she leaves the coffee shop. The District Attorney, with overwhelming evidence stacked against him, seeks the death penalty. Martin's father employs a high-powered defense team to protect the family name and defend his son. Fraudulent documents entered into evidence help sway the jury. The lesser murder conviction does little to appease Trent, the victim's fianc©. With unresolved anger and grief, he asks Jake Manor, a private detective, to help him infiltrate the Billington family. Trent merges his companies with Martin's father and gains his trust. Then he marries Martin's sister, promising love and devotion. Trent keeps the Billington family and their attorneys in his sights. When Martin is released from prison, The Second Judgment begins.
