Dragons are the best bridge, because it mixes magic with something that kids are already prone to be fond of: dinosaurs. Regina Puckett embraces this and, as both author and illustrator, does a fantastic job creating a cute and fun world for kids to find. The drawings looked like actual paint, which was cool, and clearly depicted a kid-style version of dragon land. I could see myself trying to draw these when I was a kid and having a total blast.”
