Mai Day — Rebecca Russell

After being rejected by the boy she loves, Mai begins her first year at boarding school with hope for a relatively normal experience, but she accidentally stumbles upon a dark secret in her history teacher's life. She, along with her best friends, Kyleigh Jai and Andrew, attempts to expose the true nature of her history teacher while he attempts to dispose of her. Along the way, Mai learns about holding on to the past and anticipating the future, but will she be able to apply the advice before it is too late? Mai Day draws inspiration from the book, Les Miserables, and demonstrates the importance of finding your place despite the circumstances.
