Malachi ‘Buck' Jackson has been in and out of the prison system for over forty years. After losing longtime friend, and fellow inmate, John, to cancer, Buck had to deal with yet another loss of companionship when Avionce -- another fellow inmate -- is released from prison. Buck then decides to join the prison's ‘Pen Pal' program to pass the time, and befriends Lucinda McCall. Together, the pair develops a genuine friendship which soon leads to so much more.
