Every girl in sixth grade is allowed to wear pantyhose but Christy!

So Christy decides to steal a pair. And she gets caught! For punishment she has to spend a whole week with her "bad" grandmother - a truck driver and very tough old lady whom Christy has never met.

And how weird her grandmother is - she actually likes doing things like fixing the plumbing and cleaning the house, and Christy has to help or else! The week seems like it will never end.

But then, just when Christy is getting used to all the hard work and boredom, her grandmother suddenly gets nice! What is she up to now? Christy doesn't want to jump to any hasty conclusions, but could it be that maybe her grandmother justs wants to be her friend?
