Riding into Fort Smith, Arkansas, Sundance had to kill a man who ambushed him. He received an instant death sentence from the infamous Hanging Judge. Then, on the morning he was to be hanged, the Judge offered him a deal. If Sundance delivered the feared half-breed outlaw Joe Buck, he would be freed.
