Description
Goosie has just harvested the turnips from her garden, and now shes off to market to sell them. She wants to use the money she makes to buy a new cooking pot. Its a long walk to the market, and the sack of turnips soon feels very heavy. So when she meets Cow, she agrees to trade her turnips for a big piece of cheese. Next she meets Mouse, and trades the cheese for a freshly-caught sardine. Goosie isnt a very shrewd trader, and after later meetings with Cat and Goat, she arrives at the marketplace with nothing better than a stone. How is Goosie going to sell a stone? How will she ever manage to buy a new cooking pot? The color illustrations on every page of this delightful book are every bit as humorous as the story.
