I thought about it so often that it made my head itch on the inside. What's it like out there...out in the land of humans?

Sure, Kaz has questions about life beyond the Fence. Yet aside from the occasional scrapes with Block the bully, he doesn't think the Enclosure is so bad. It's where he unzips bananas at mealtime, monkeys around with his buddy Chim, and WHOOOOOOPS loudly in the tress. It's the only place Kaz has ever known.

Then the mighty Skink arrives. An outsider with a scrawny body, a fearless heart, and a mind packed with crazy ideas, Skink refused to conform to the Rules of his new home. Together with the timid Chim, Kaz and the mighty Skink plot an escape. If they succeed, life inside--and outside--the Enclosure will never be the same.
