He did not seek her favor, never considered that he needed, or wanted, any help from her, but now that he had it, it would be foolish not to capitalize on it. He had his own plans that would come about with or without her help. Confident by nature and trained to take command, General James Martin is appalled by the government of insecure, indecisive politicians, and bureaucrats. He sees his country deteriorating on every side with no one able to make a decision and considers it his duty to save his country, and in the process, the world. In order to do that he has to become President and so sets in motion his plan to take over the presidency which includes assassinating those that stand in his way. General Martin no sooner becomes president than millions of people disappear from the earth. He comes up with an explanation which he knows is a lie, but which people accept because there is no other explanation. He soon learns that there is another man, Qwert Poiu, who is more devious, more capable, more ruthless, and more charismatic than he is, who is also bent on taking over the world. Knowing it would be futile to oppose Qwert Poiu, President James Martin pledges him his support.
