Where Does Carrie Fit In?
When Carrie Gordon came to boarding school in Virginia on scholarship from the small town of Butler, Kansas, she fell totally left out. Being away from home for the first time and in the company of so many wealthy girls who were interested in boys, parties, and horseback riding didn't help, either. She was at the Adams School to study, not to goof off.
But becoming friends with a popular girl, Kim Miller, helped to bring Carrie out of her shell. Mark Newman also meant something to the "new" Carrie. He was the first guy who really cared for her.
It was the Club -- Sine Nomine, which means No Name -- that presented Carrie with her chance to finally belong somewhere. What she didn't know was how The Club would put to the test her friendship with Kim and her own sense of self.
