was an engineer who dealt with facts. His dreams reached as high as the sun and would benefit all mankind when they were fulfilled.

He couldn't understand why Anne would bother with the "nonsense" of the entertainment business. He also couldn't understand how he had come to love her so much when there seemed no way on earth for them to reconcile their different worlds.
