O Madcap Duchess — Pamela Hill

After the death of his devoted Queen-Duchess, Mary Tudor, the Duke of Suffolk married a young girl who had been his ward. She was Catharine Willoughby, a pretty Lincolnshire heiress with Spanish blood who became a great favorite at court. After Suffolk's death in 1545 she married again, it was said beneath her, and became known as the Madcap Duchess.
