The Civil War is over, and in its wake lie the charred remnants of Wyndward, the ashes of the once-great name of Turner. Southerners with Northern blood, all that remain are Fitzjohn Turner and his grandson Mark, determined to rebuild the family plantation, to restore their name to glory.
