Cottonwood Dreams — Norene Morris

As if living in Venture, Kansas in the late 1800's weren't difficult enough, in one fate-filled day Mary Lou Mackey loses her beloved mother, Tom Langdon, the only man she ever loved, and the respect of her father who blames Mary Lou's "negligence" for his wife's death.

Grief stricken, Mary Lou fills her days with work, all the while wondering if she will ever find peace and happiness. And what about Tom Langdon? Why did he leave her with no explanation?

Only her faith in God, taught by her Christian mother, sustains Mary Lou. But will faith be enough to turn Mary Lou's dreams into reality?
