When the placement service told Tracy Manning that there was a job open as private secretary to Gareth Amesbury she was surprised because liked most people she assumed the famous movie idol was dead. But there is was in his crumbling old mansion by the sea, surrounded by a strange retinue of servants and dependents. Tracy's job was to set the old man's collection of movie material -- books, photos, films -- in order. She was just getting started when the terror began.
