The Curse Of Kalispoint
Finally, the long climb was over and I was in the circular tower room. Shiny slits of windows opened onto a narrow papapet outlined with the gilded skulls of the golden ladies of Kalispoint.
The room was empty, except for a small kitchen table. On it was another golden head, and a small doll. It was crudely made out of muslin with the face inked in and a linen handkerchief folded around the waist. A wisp of ash blonde hair was tacked to it's skull, and in the region of the chest was a hole with blood dripping out.
Then I realized the handkerchief as one of my own and everything became frighteningly clear. I had discovered the secret the golden ladies guarded-and I knew I would be the next sacrifice.
