Hills of the Purple Mist — Mona Newman

An unsophisticated girl marries a brilliant young army officer. He is attached to Military Intelligence and posted to Germany. Knowing nothing of army life she finds it difficult to adjust, but with the help of other army wives, she succeeds. Then she becomes involved with her husband's work and finds herself in danger behind the Iron Curtain.
