Mirror House was a "beauty farm" that promised to restore youthful appearance. But when twenty-three-year-old Althea Brayton went there in search of her older cousin, she found the old house filled not with health and cheer but with gloom and oppressive menace. The "guests" wandered lifelessly as if in a trance, and the staff lurked in the shadows, glaring suspiciously at passersby. A strange and evil influence had fallen over Mirror House.

Althea knew she had to free her cousin from this weird prison before it was too late. But to do so, she would have to do battle with the powers of darkness.
