Lillies loomed like tigers about to strike, bobbing ever closer. Nat should've stayed in Uncle Zac's house. He should have. It was dusty and scary and the shadows that moved like cats scared him, but it was better than Uncle Zac's garden with the lilies that growled like they wanted to eat him up. Cousin Luned was gonna yell at Nat for slipping out when she told him to stay put. It was, it was, it was scary and he wanted to find somewhere safe. Nat bit his lip and wished with all his might as wind swirled around him like a cat on the prowl.
