Matt Harrison is a Texas Ranger. It's not his job it's who he is, a part of him. Nothing is more important. When a new murder proves there is still a killer in their midst Rose comes to realize a Texas Ranger might be a good thing to have around and Matt realizes that there are some things more important than his badge.

Just like the first book in this series this Western Historical Romance set in Texas could also be considered a Romantic Suspense.
This book follows Matt Harrison, the Texas Ranger. He is a driven lawman but in this case it is personal. He is looking for the killer of his friend and Partner. Rose is the 'Madam' of the Saloon where his friend was killed. He's not surprised to be attracted to her but he doesn't expect to like her.
Rose is hiding who she is for a lot of reasons including a tragic past but Matt slips past her defenses. Rose didn't believe there could be a killer among them until one of their own falls victim.
I thought I knew who the killer was...
