A group of fanatical followers of Mortua, the Goddess of Death, have been misled. They believe Mortua wants sacrifices, carried out with a cursed dagger that is causing far more harm than the cultists realize. The souls of the sacrificed are unable to move on without a lot of help from the gods. Mortua reluctantly admits she needs the help of the Speaker of the Dead.
