Close up ...
Sunny, optimistic Sara Gates and dark, brooding Torrey Easton are the most unlikely couple at Kennedy High. How could Sara, whose own life is as perfect as the old movies she adores, possibly understand Torrey's cynical point of view? Maybe it's because Sara isn't as happy as she pretends to be, and Torrey senses just how much he and Sara have in common.
But when Torrey tries to get close, Sara pushes him away -- she'd rather live in a world of make-believe than admit her troubles. Can Sara face reality long enough to let Torrey show her the kind of love that doesn't fade when the lights come up?
