Tom Thumb — McLoughlin Brothers

This illustrated re-telling of the classic Grimm's fairy tale was originally published in 1888 by McLoughlin Brothers of New York. Tom, no bigger than his father's thumb, survives many an adventure including being cooked into a pudding, being carried off by a raven, and being swallowed up by a fish and a giant. Alas, in the end, it's the poison breath of a spider that does him in.
