Description
Ben is in his early twenties, and on the verge of burnout after but a few years of quietly going through the motions of being an adult. He works at a restaurant. He goes to college. He does it all alone. When his best friend Sammy commits suicide, his mind reignites, moving him to look on fretfully at the life he has come to live. Over the next four days before the funeral in his hometown in upstate New York, Ben wrestles with the emotions surrounding the death of a loved one, and he weighs the merits of living against those of keeping up his end of the suicide pact he made with Sammy when they were teenagers. In the end, Ben’s decision begs one to consider the beauty of life.
