Mist Around the Moon — Mary Mackie

When her mother dies, a letter arrives from Clare's unknown father inviting her to visit him on the Yorkshire moors where he runs a scientific research station. She finds an immediate rapport with her father but there are strange forces at work in Morley Grange, all seemingly stirred by the neurotic Lisa who cares nothing for her husband and daughter. Before long Clare is involved in a mystery which threatens not only her happiness - but her life.
