Carriage for Two — Mary Cummins

When Judith Taverner and her young sister, Bess, are left penniless, clearly a wealthy husband has to be found for Bess. Mr Aidan Carrock seems to be ideal; after all, he is considered the most eligible man in the district. However, Judith's plans are complicated by the arrival of a new neighbour, the attractive Mr. Mardale, and she is horrified to find herself falling in love - or is it simply infatuation?
