Description
Caroline Bexley has lost her father, her suitors, and her hip home in London. Now, she, her mother, and her sister are living on the kindness of strangers who Caroline’s clergyman brother convinced to allow them to stay. Used to the fast pace of London society, Caroline is feeling bored and out of place until two men come along to peak her interests. One is Richard Wrottesley; a handsome man who has been spending his days in Paris and is just as exciting a person as she is. The other is Thomas Ridlington, an earl with a sprawling manor and a reputation as the worst rake in Britain. He is both good for witty conversation and juicy gossip. However, when Carline takes the blinders of her preconceptions off, neither of these two men are what they seem. Only, it may be too late for her to have either of them when she discovers she has made just about the worst mistake she can.
