After a chance run-in with a muddle-mouthed old enemy, Scuttlebutt and his companions hear rumours that the frozen kingdom of Wintertide has a new mayor, intent on exterminating creepers and generally being an overbearing rotter. But conveniently, Scuttlebutt's friend Ernest just happens to be the lost prince of Wintertide. And, with a little bit of persuasion, might just be able to put a stop to this mischief. Joined by Soot the talking creeper, Florabel the fearless barmaid, and Mildred the duck (or is she a chicken?) the motley band of adventurers travel north to take on this devious new mayor. They'll face snivelling minions, nefarious inventions, uncooperative pigs, the perilous Walk of Fiery Doom and strange-named teenagers with bad haircuts.
