Description
All her friends told her that handsome, wealthy Paul Mansfield was no a one-woman man, that he was the kiss-and-run type, but lovely Vicki Clements could not believe it. She dared not believe it -- for she was already in love with him. And when Paul confessed his love for her, Vicki was thrilled.
Then, without warning, Paul left her!
Lonely and disillusioned, Vicki vowed never to give her heart to one man.
But suddenly Paul returned, begging to see her again. “I know I behaved badly and I'm sorry. Please let me make it up to you,” he pleaded. “I love you.”
Desperately, Vicki battled with herself. Common sense told her that Paul did not love her and never had. Yet in her heart she believed he was sincere. How could she be sure of his true feelings? What should she do?
