The Tape — Marilyn Dungan

Laney's veterinarian friend, Gray Prescott, becomes the prime suspect in his colleague's death, after a public confrontation with Derek Beale. An empty audio cassette case is found near the body and Laney becomes convinced that the missing tape could clear her friend.

Shar Hamilton, Laney's raunchy friend from Pittsburgh helps Laney in the search for the tape and the the pair come face to face with the killer in a climax of terror.
