Description
IT WAS THE SALE OF THE CENTURY. AND MURDER WAS GOING CHEAP.
The anxious buyers lining up in front of Bonnard's department store were bursting with anticipation even though the doors would not be opened for days. But with the New Year's festivities and the arrival of the press, time would pass quickly for the bargain hunters. Yes, for Dorrie Wilson this was certainly the queue event of the year--until things began to sour. To one side of Dorrie the glowering man named Zoltan made everyone uncomfortable, while on the other side, a careworn young blonde was being bullied by her maniac boyfriend. By the fourth day of waiting, Dorrie knew something was rotten in the line for the Sale of the Century. But how could she--or anyone else--guess that it was a conflict that reached deep into the Bonnard family itself, and that someone among her fellow shoppers was really waiting for murder?
