A Slice of Reparations — Margie Walker

On the 4th of July, offspring of the founding fathers of Hudson Valley, Texas are discovered murdered, the word "Reparations" left by their mutilated bodies. Marcia Chenault-McKissick, in town nursing an emotional wound, is charged with finding the killer before more violence erupts as both the white and black communities are stirred in anger, seasoned by a taste for revenge.
