So great was Kirsty's resemblance to young Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots, that people stopped in the streets and stared at her. It wasn't long before this uncanny resemblance drew the attention of the queen herself.

At first Kirsty was only embarrassed by her likeness to Mary Stuart, but soon it became an almost unendurable situation.

For the queen was determined to make use of what she considered a great piece of luck, and for Kirsty, indeed for all of Scotland, there were disastrous results!
