The Hired Wife — Lynna Cooper

Aspiring actress Toni Aldridge has come to Rome hoping for the break that would lead her to stardom. With her money nearly gone, she meets Bob Sanders, an American producer, looking for his big break. And he needs a wife, at least temporarily, since the Greek tycoon for whom he wants to work will have no unmarried man in his employ.

So Toni hires on as ‘wife' and the role goes so well that soon she and Bob are planning to make it complete, legal and permanent. Then, without warning, a series of nearly lethal ‘accidents' imperil both their lives. But who would want to kill them...and why?
