The Pest House — Lisa Williamson

In the early 1800s before there were charity hospitals, there were Pest Houses. Those with contagious diseases were taken to these houses and left there to get well or die.



The Pest Houses have long since disappeared from the face of the land but out in the woods there is still the sound of a crying child.
