Adventure In Niagara Falls — Linda Meckler

Niagara Falls is where I spent a large part of my childhood. Things have changed now but I wrote the story from when I was a child. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I loved writing it.

The Ramsey Family is taking a two hour road trip to Niagara Falls For the Day. Christy has three adventures including getting herself kidnapped. It will leave your wanting more.

CHAPTER 1

THE TRIP

“Hurry Mom. Hurry Brad. Why are you two taking so long? A turtle could move faster,” Christy yelled in excitement. She was all bundled up in her short green winter jacket in her hand a matching hat and mittens.
“I'm ready,” said Diane.
“I'm ready Kiddo,” yelled Brad, “Chill out.”
“Let's hop into the car already,” said Christy, inpatient stamping her foot.
They all hopped into Diane's Ford Contour with Diane behind the wheel.
Christy, eleven, and her brother Brad, fifteen, live in Pennsylvania with their mother, Diane. They all are tall and think with bright red hair and big blue eyes.
Their dad had died in a car accident when Christy was a baby.
They headed North on interstate 90. Christy, who was in the back seat, put her head back on the seat cushion and fell asleep.
“Boy, that poor kid,” laughed Brad. “She was so excited about our trip today, she was up all night. How long will it take to get to Niagara Falls, Mom?” asked Brad.
“About two hours. We're going to go over to the Canadian side. That's where all the action is.”
“We're now entering Buffalo, New York” Brad announced like a news announcer.
“It's not much further. Watch for the turn off to Interstate 54.”
“Look at all those Industrial plants closed down.” Brad said.
“But when they were open everybody knew they were there,” commented Diane.
“I remember coming here as a kid and having to shut all the windows in the car. I had to hold my nose. The stink was so bad.
