Description
Science fiction, horror, contemporary, mainstream fiction have all run amuck in my mind producing short stories that have become winners of publication, certificates, or small sums of money. Essays containing the truth that I, or someone I have known, have lived and decided that it was something worth telling. Others have felt the same way because they were also winners. Short stories and essays keep my mind sharp and the telling of the stories may eventually lead to a novel or book. I begin the collection with the truth and end it with a mystery. Many different flavors of writing are sprinkled in the middle. As a budding novelist in the 7th grade, Mrs. Ruby told me to write what I know so I can make the reader feel the same feeling that I am trying to convey. In everything I write, I am writing, a least, a bit of what I know doused in a great deal of imagination.
